The various products tested in Polymer laboratory include, but not limited to:

• Leather products (Footwear ,Finished leather, Chrome leather,handbags, belts )
• Paints and paint products.(paints, thinners,inks, mineral turpentine)
• Writing aids(ball point pens, black lead pencils, marker pensetc.)            
• Plastic products(Plastic pipes, hypodermic syringes, catheters, blood transfusion sets, food storing plastic containers,PVC,EVA ,etc.)
• Rubber products( footwear, Gloves, Condoms, rubber bearings)
• Paper and paper products(writing paper, Tissues, Serviettes, paper for packaging among others)
• Retro reflective materials (warning road signs, chevrons)
• Other Polymer products (polyurethane foam mattress, polythene bags and sheetingadhesives etc)

For the parameters tested and charges

The laboratory operates under ISO/IEC 17025, general requirements for testing and calibration laboratories quality system and uses both in house developed test methods and standard test methods (ISO, IS, EN, BS, customer supplied methods) on the various products. A pool of qualified scientists undertakes the tests. Continual expansion and investment in new technologies, instrumentation and laboratory personnel has led to accreditation by SANAS, for accreditation scope click here (link).
