KEBS testing laboratories are accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Accreditation means that we have been assessed against internationally recognized standards and operate to the highest levels of quality and service – providing further assurance to you that the reports we issue are both credible and impartial. This accreditation reduces the risk to you and your customers and gives you complete confidence that we have been independently evaluated for our competence and performance capability. We are accredited by South Africa National Accreditation System (SANAS) for about 300 tests with approximately 45 staff competently declared as technical signatories. Accreditation covers the fields of textiles, metals, polymers, electrical, civil, organic chemistry, petroleum, inorganic chemistry, food, agriculture and microbiology.

Testing services department is part of the management systems scope of KEBS certification to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2013, ISO 22301:2019 and ISO 37001:2016. Certification is by British Standards Institution (BSI).
